Overview

The Shop Access (SAC) domain covers the interfaces that connect the physical shop floor and specialized devices to the Arda platform. Its scope includes IoT data feeds, RFID readers, barcode scanners, label printers, and other hardware peripherals that need to exchange data with the system. SAC behaviors bridge the gap between physical material handling and the digital information model.

The Printing area covers the generation of physical print materials — Kanban Cards, Shelf Labels, and Breadcrumbs — from items managed in Arda. Includes single-item printing, bulk printing with multi-template grouping, batch size limiting, and print status lifecycle management.

The Print Diagnostics sub-area covers API-level debug, dry-run, and preview capabilities for the Customer Support persona.

PDF rendering via Documint is also used by other domains as a downstream action. These workflows are classified under their originating domain, not under SAC::PRINT:

  • Purchase Orders — PRO::PO: Generates vendor-ready PO documents. See PRO::PO::0006 (Generate PO Document).

Each printable artifact is accessible via a stable URL that encodes the artifact type and the identity of the entity it represents. These URLs are rendered as QR codes on printed artifacts to enable scan-to-lookup workflows on the shop floor. The URL format is defined in the Item Module functional reference.
